Educational Objectives Program
The educational objectives of the program are defined as the achievements of the graduates during the first years after graduation.
The educational objectives of the Engineering in Business Management program are:
- Design and manage enterprises and innovation process (PEO1)
- Design, implement and develop strategic business systems, optimizing resources (PEO2)
- Interprets and attends the global context needs with ethics and social responsibility (PEO3)
- Uses research models and methods to represent situations and problems of the organizations. (PEO4)
Student outcomes
Student outcome describe what students are expected to know and be able to do at the time of graduation. These relate to the skills, knowledge and behaviors that students acquire as they progress through the program.
According to the changes in ABET’s definition of the Student Outcomes for BS students, the program of Business Management Engineering at ITA adopted the new set of seven student outcomes defined in the Criteria for Accrediting Engineering Programs; therefore, at the time of graduation, the graduates from the Business Management Engineering program must have:
1. The ability to identify, formulate and solve complex engineering problems by applying engineering, science and math principles.
2. The ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specific needs with consideration of public health, safety and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental and economic factors.
3. The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
4. The ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which should consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental and social contexts.
5. The ability to function effectively in a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, set goals, plan tasks and meet objectives
6. The ability to develop and carry out appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
7. Ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as necessary, using appropriate learning strategies.
Programa de objetivos educativos
Los objetivos educativos del programa se definen como los logros de los graduados durante los primeros años después de la graduación.
Los objetivos educativos del programa de Ingeniería en Gestión Empresarial son:
- Diseñar y gestionar empresas e innovación de procesos.
- Diseñar, implementar y desarrollar sistemas estratégicos de negocios, optimizando recursos.
- Considerar requerimientos de entorno global con ética y responsabilidad social.
- Utilizar modelos y métodos de investigación para representar situaciones y problemas de las organizaciones.
Resultados del estudiante
Los resultados de los estudiantes describen lo que se espera que los estudiantes sepan y puedan hacer al momento de la graduación. Estos se relacionan con las habilidades, conocimientos y comportamientos que los estudiantes adquieren a medida que avanzan en el programa.
1. La capacidad de identificar, formular y resolver problemas complejos de ingeniería aplicando principios de ingeniería, ciencias y matemáticas.
2. La capacidad de aplicar el diseño de ingeniería para producir soluciones que satisfagan necesidades específicas con consideración de salud pública, seguridad y bienestar, así como factores globales, culturales, sociales, ambientales y económicos
3. La capacidad de comunicarse efectivamente con una variedad de audiencias.
4. La capacidad de reconocer las responsabilidades éticas y profesionales en situaciones de ingeniería y hacer juicios informados, que deben considerar el impacto de las soluciones de ingeniería en contextos globales, económicos, ambientales y sociales.
5. La capacidad de funcionar de manera efectiva en un equipo cuyos miembros juntos brindan liderazgo, crean un ambiente colaborativo e inclusivo, establecen metas, planifican tareas y cumplen objetivos
6. La capacidad de desarrollar y llevar a cabo la experimentación apropiada, analizar e interpretar datos, y usar el juicio de ingeniería para sacar conclusiones.
7. Capacidad de adquirir y aplicar nuevos conocimientos según sea necesario, utilizando estrategias de aprendizaje apropiadas.
